Sau quá trình công tác kiểm tra, rà soát, Cục Phát thanh, truyền hình và thông tin điện tử phát hiện một số trò chơi điện tử trên mạng không phép đang được cung cấp xuyên biên giới vào Việt Nam thông qua các kho ứng dụng như Apple App Store hay Google Play Store.
Vì vậy, Cục Phát thanh, truyền hình và thông tin điện tử đã có công văn gửi đến và đề nghị Vụ Thanh toán, Ngân hàng Nhà nước Việt Nam, xem xét, chỉ đạo các ngân hàng thương mại, đơn vị, doanh nghiệp cung cấp dịch vụ trung gian thanh toán ngăn chặn, dừng hoặc không kết nối thanh toán cho các trò chơi điện tử sau:
